Custom cabinets in this kitchen were built to meet the needs of a family to come.  Walls were removed to open traffic flow, cooking and eating arrangements were studied and habits were accounted for.  The breakfast nook was intended to create an informal eating area and home office.  storage beneath the seats was fashioned to fit a laptop for quick stowage during meals.  Stairs to the basement, originally part of an old enclosed porch, were reset to become part of the natural flow from the back door down to the basement.  Plans for a future basement renovation are already in progress.
